Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 Chevrolet Cruze- Video

Hi there, Chevy owners. Today in your 2013 Chevrolet Cruze, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Tekonsha's 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, what vehicle wiring harness. This is not gonna be the traditional way that you install it, but we did mount it here at the back of the vehicle. Got our little tester that we had plugged into it there. And it's mounted to brackets that do not come included with the kit, but you can purchase these brackets here at etrailer if you wanted to make it look just like ours here. This harness is actually designed to stay inside of your vehicle though here in the trunk area, so that way you just pull up your rear compartment and drape it over the back and then you just shut your trunk and that'll pinch it between the weather stripping. more

This is going to give us the ability to use an four pole auxiliary lighting or trailer lighting. It's going to come out the back of your trunk and be able to plug into your trailer like we have here. Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harnes Installation - 2017 Chevrolet Cruze- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Cruze, we're going to be installing Curt's T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, part number C56354. This vehicle wiring harness is going to live inside the vehicle. When you need it, it's behind your driver's side panel, you can just pull it out, drape it over the back, hook it up to your trailer, making sure that you avoid your rear hatch latch when you close it and you close your latch. It'll pinch the harness between the weather stripping. Part number is C56319.Now here's what your wiring kit's going to look like when you pull it out of the package. Of course this is the plug end we're looking for. This gives us a standard 4-pole flat trailer connector. That's going to include running lights, left turn and brake signal, right turn and brake signal, and also a ground to the vehicle so it keeps everything working properly. Now this is going to fit any standard 4-pole trailer connector as long as it's flat, just like this one. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Chevrolet Cruze- Video

Today on this 2012 Chevrolet Cruze, we're going to install part number 118508. This is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with a 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector from TowReady. To start off, we need to get inside the trunk, so we'll go ahead and open the trunk lid, and our wire harness is behind the liners on the inside. We'll go ahead and take the liner from the inside here, and pull it up and out of our way. To loosen this into your panel, it gets overlapped by the threshold, so I have to remove the threshold as well. Looks like there's 2 plastic fasteners that we have to remove. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Chevrolet Cruze C56125- Video

Today on our 2012 Chevy Cruze, we will be installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat connector, part number C56125. To begin our install, we will first open up the rear trunk and then remove the spare tire cover, or carpeted liner. Next we will need to remove the rear threshold. To remove the rear threshold, we will remove the two push pin fasteners first. Now we will go ahead and set the threshold aside and starting on the driver's side remove the three push pin fasteners and one cargo hook that secured the carpeted liner on the driver's side. Once we remove the fasteners, we will set them aside and then remove the inner panel carpeted liner. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2011 Chevrolet Cruze- Video

Today on this 2011 Chevy Cruze, we're going to be installing wiring harness part number 118508. Ok, we're inside the trunk area of our Chevy Cruze, we need to first go ahead and locate the ports that we're going to be putting our wiring harness into. So to gain access to those ports, we're going to have to remove a few things inside the trunk. We're going to first pull back the floor. Next we're going to go ahead and remove the rear threshold section and if you look on the vertical facing of the threshold piece, you can see we have 2 push fasteners holding it into position. One on the drivers and one over here on the passenger side. To remove those fasteners, we need to first pry out the center section and if you rotate your fastener enough, you will find a portion where there is actually a cut out between the center section and the outer section and there you could take a flat head screwdriver and go ahead and pry that in there and pop that out. And then once you have got that pulled out, you go ahead and remove the inner section. more
